Calvary Community International Ministries is located in Eldoret in Western Kenya. Eldoret is Kenya’s fastest growing and fifth largest city. The church is led by Rev Anthony Wambua (no relation to Rev Euticauls Wambua). Living Word Christian Center is a church that is teaching and educating believers in God’s word. Their passion is to see a mature church. They want followers of Christ to be deep in God’s Word so that they live in a way that glorifies God in all manners of life. The church has grown from two people in September 2008 to an average attendance of 25 adults.
The church is also working with MissionLink International to establish the MissionLink International Study Center (MLISC). MLISC is a training center that is aimed at equipping pastors, church leaders and church members to study the Bible and apply what it says to every facet of their lives.
The African church has great need for trained servants of the Gospel because there so many preachers who have big churches but they have not been properly trained in studying and interpreting the scriptures. The center will also be training the students on computer basics.
Living Word Christian Fellowship is currently meeting in a temporary shelter. We want to be able to build a new building that will provide better protection from the weather and house the church offices on land that the church already owns.
We would like to be able to purchase a third plot of land next to the two that we have already purchased at a cost of $6700. This plot will allow for future church school expansion/extension.
